Sakai Hōitsu (Japanese: 酒井抱一; August 1, – January 4, ) was a Japanese painter of the Rinpa school.

Sakai Hōitsu was born on 1 August in Edo.[2] His father was the lord (daimyō) of Himeji Castle in Harima Province.

Biography Painter; younger son of Sakai Tadamochi, lord of Himeji domain.
